Cavities

Cavity is a complex process of tooth decay, the initial stage is the growth of bacterial colonies, going to the dissolution of the hard tooth enamel covering your teeth. Left untreated, influenced by the products of the vital activity of the bacteria, a cavity gets formed in the dentin. When the doctor detects caries, then it should be cured as soon as possible, since it could produce further more serious consequences.

But you shouldn't fear and hesitate the dentist check up, due to modern anesthetics and the latest technology, that allow dental treatment make more easy and painless.
Before the tooth is sealed, the doctor must carefully prepare it: clear an affected tooth tissues by turbine, then the cavity gets treated with antiseptics and a special adhesive system that makes composite material connection stronger. After photopolymerization, the doctor polishes the filling material to rectorate the anatomic structure of the tooth. These are very important procedures, since they help to save the tooth from more serious lesions.

Obviously, you won't notice any sensitivity until decay goes to the dentin layer, you’ll probably have reaction on: hot, cold, sweet, sticky and sour foods. Keep in mind: tooth decay goes on growing, your pain can be more often and intense and it can draw to pulpitis.

Pulpitis

The soft tissue of the tooth, in which the nerves are located, is called pulp.
When this part of the tooth is affected by the bacteria coming from the cavity, it is diagnosed as pulpitis.

This is already a more complex disease than cavities. Normally, when it happens, the pain is not regular, but it appears periodically. Sometimes, it gives the feeling that all the teeth hurt at the same time. When these symptoms become noticeable in the patient, our specialists must take an intraoral image, which helps to obtain an exact diagnosis and choose the correct treatment.

Then, in the case of confirming the diagnosis, the elimination of the pulpitis in the affected area of the pulp is carried out.

Periodontitis

Periodontitis should be understood as the inflammation of the tissues that are found in the tooth and alveolar bone of the jaw. This disease can not be cured by itself.

Periodontitis is characterized by the appearance of a strictly localized continuous pulsating pain. There are cases with pus secretion and fever, also with the distribution of pain in the facial area and increased lymph nodes.

Dental help with these symptoms is inevitable. Periodontitis is a disease that needs professional help. Do-not self medicate! At this stage it is very dangerous.
The thing is, the bacteria that multiplies around the teeth are releasing various toxins, which “intoxicate” the human organism and cause diseases of the heart, kidneys, joints, etc.

All forms of periodontitis require highly qualified medical intervention.

Periocoronaritis

Periocoronaritis is a difficult and painful eruption of the wisdom teeth.

The first phase of pericoronaritis presents with sensations of pain in the area of the eruption of the tooth, with the appearance of a mucous hood of edema around the tooth, producing pain when pressed.

The diagnosis of pericoronitis does not usually present difficulties for the dentist. It will be necessary to perform an X-ray, which will show the position of the wisdom tooth and the state of the surrounding bone. These results will define the means of treatment.
In mild phases, the mouthwash recipe is usually enough along with anti-inflammatories, but more severe cases may require surgical interventions.

Be thoughtful with yourselves. Do not be afraid to come to the dentist and discuss your problem.
