Cavities
Cavity is a complex process of tooth decay, the initial stage is the growth of bacterial colonies, going to the dissolution of the hard tooth enamel covering your teeth. Left untreated, influenced by the products of the vital activity of the bacteria, a cavity gets formed in the dentin. When the doctor detects caries, then it should be cured as soon as possible, since it could produce further more serious consequences.
But you shouldn't fear and hesitate the dentist check up, due to modern anesthetics and the latest technology, that allow dental treatment make more easy and painless.
Before the tooth is sealed, the doctor must carefully prepare it: clear an affected tooth tissues by turbine, then the cavity gets treated with antiseptics and a special adhesive system that makes composite material connection stronger. After photopolymerization, the doctor polishes the filling material to rectorate the anatomic structure of the tooth. These are very important procedures, since they help to save the tooth from more serious lesions.
Obviously, you won't notice any sensitivity until decay goes to the dentin layer, you’ll probably have reaction on: hot, cold, sweet, sticky and sour foods. Keep in mind: tooth decay goes on growing, your pain can be more often and intense and it can draw to pulpitis.
